2027 Budget Planner
A spreadsheet for the whole of 2027. Each month has its own tab with planned against actual for every category, and the year dashboard adds the months up, beside a bill calendar, sinking funds, net worth, debt payoff and the 52-week savings challenge.
Digital download: nothing is shipped. You buy it in the KitsoukStudio shop on Etsy, which collects any sales tax or VAT due where you live.

- Your currency symbol, the year, an optional starting bank balance, and 30 categories in five groups, each with a planned amount per month; rename them or add your own, up to 40.
- Year Dashboard
- One row per month with income, spending, saved, debt payments and what is left, a running balance, year totals, three year goals with progress bars, and a chart of income against spending.
- January to December
- One tab per month: each category with planned, actual, difference and a bar, group subtotals and what is left, a Change column for that month only, and a log of 150 rows.
- Bill Calendar
- Up to 40 bills, monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months or yearly, shown in the months they fall due, with totals per month and per bill.
- Sinking Funds
- Up to 15 funds for the costs that come once or twice a year, with the amount still needed each month to reach each target on its date.
- Debt Payoff
- Up to 10 debts by snowball, avalanche or your own order, with the month each one is paid off, your debt-free date and the interest you save.
- Net Worth
- Up to 12 assets and 12 debts, a value for the end of each month, and your net worth and its change.
- Savings Challenge
- The 52-week challenge with your own base amount, forward or in reverse.

How it works
You type only in the cream cells. Every other cell calculates. In Excel and LibreOffice the sheets are protected so that a formula cannot be overwritten by accident; there is no password, so you can unprotect any sheet. Google Sheets does not keep that protection when it converts the file, so there, keep to the cream cells.
Each month tab starts from the planned amounts on Settings, and its Change column plans a different amount for that month alone. A log row dated outside its month is marked. The year is one cell on Settings: type 2028 and every tab follows.

Who it suits
- People who plan by the calendar month and want the whole year in one file.
- Anyone with yearly costs to save for ahead of time.

What it does not do
- It does not connect to your bank: you type each amount.
- It works in one currency, and it has no paycheck plan.
- It is a planning tool, not financial advice. Interest is estimated each month from the APR, so your lender's statements can differ from its figures.
Questions
Can I use it for 2028?
Yes. Change the year on Settings and the whole planner moves to 2028.
Can I use it on my phone?
The tabs are wide tables that read best on a computer or a tablet.
Where do I find the files again?
Sign in to Etsy in a web browser, open Purchases, then choose Download Files. The Etsy app does not download digital files.
Can I get a refund?
If a file does not work as described here and I cannot fix it, you get a full refund. Write to hello@kitsouk.com within 14 days of your purchase. The refund policy has the details.
How was it made?
The planner and its tests were written with an AI assistant, under my direction. Before release the formulas were checked by 104 automated tests in LibreOffice, with figures worked out separately. The screenshots are images of the actual example file; no AI image generator was used.
